    We are currently looking for a qualified employee to join our Supported Employment Program as a Job Coach. Skyline provides services for our individuals based upon their personal needs and goals. There are those who need support in their work environment a few hours a week and those who need full support daily. The services you would provide are focused on skill building to increase independence, such as applying for jobs, attending job interviews, getting to work, fostering a positive work experience, and assisting with on-the-job skills. The ideal candidate would act as a role model to our SEP consumers with developing positive work habits.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Assist in completing placement of potential SEP Individuals which would include completing applications: assisting with the interview process if requested.
    2. Coach and counsel supportive employment clients in development and implementation of their individual program plans and to empower consumers to achieve their personal goals and objectives.
    3. Demonstrate, coach and model good work skills, intervening in crisis situations by communicating with clients and implementing behavior management procedures when necessary.
    4. Adhere to the SEP schedule that is provided on a weekly basis.
    5. Responsible for providing written/EDOC documentation on each of the Supported Employment Individuals.
    6. Support Individuals placed in the community through job training, follow along services.
    7. Must complete Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) exam within 2 years.
    8. Must have 9.5 hours of Employment Training through Direct Course or an ACRE certified training program. Also, complete 4 hours of continuing education in Employment Services annually.
    9. Train Individuals to use other forms of transportation if needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    18 years of age

    Minimum Education of High School Diploma or equivalent

    Valid Driver's License

    Basic Computer Skills

    Experience is preferred but not required and paid training is provided. This position is a great opportunity for those looking to get into the healthcare field at an entry-level.
