Upcoming Events

The Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade is set to come to Clinton for its 2012 summer event from June 11-13.  This event involves 300-500 farmers riding and showing their tractors, and is sponsored by Cedar Rapids radio station 600 WMT AM. The Tractorcade will arrive in DeWitt on June 10, leaving the morning of June 11 for Clinton, where they will remain for the day and overnight before leaving for Maquoketa on June 12 and returning to DeWitt for the last day of the event on June 13.

 

The tractors will line up along Riverview Drive which is a beautiful venue for any event.  The Clinton Convention & Visitors Bureau is looking forward to hosting this event. Volunteers will be needed to make this event successful, so if you are interested in volunteering, call the CVB at 563-242-5702.

 

 



2012 RAGBRAI TO END IN CLINTON

"Where the Rubber Meets the River"

RAGBRAI XL, is the nation's oldest and largest bicycle ride. An estimated 10,000 riders will start in Sioux Center and end in Clinton.  The route covers 471 miles and is described as the ninth easiest since the ride began. The Iowa Bicycle Coalition recently announced that bicycling contributes about $1 million a day to the state's economy.

 

Bicyclists will be in Clinton on Friday, July 20.  They will stay overnight, get on motorcoaches in the morning and travel across the state to Sioux Center to begin their journey across the state, which will end back in Clinton on Saturday, July 28.

 



The Clinton Convention & Visitors Bureau and the City of Clinton are looking forward to hosting this  event! Meetings with officials from RAGBRAI have begun.  An Advisory Board and Executive Committee have been named.  Committees and Committee Chairs have been set.  Many volunteers will be needed before and during this event, so if you are interested in volunteering, go to www.clintonragbrai.com and sign up!
