Timber Lake Playhouse Presents The Sheriff’s a Goner – A Murder Mystery Dinner in The Barn on June 29
Timber Lake Playhouse (TLP), the premier professional summer theatre of northwest Illinois, will host a Murder Mystery Dinner following a western theme. The Sheriff’s a Goner will be presented on Saturday, June 29 in The Barn, TLP’s newest event center.
As you might know already, plans for law and order in Timber Lake has all come “a cropper.” Long-time Sheriff Jack Daniels was killed last week, and new Sheriff Jim Beam is comin’ to town to ketch the sidewinder what done it. Auntie Macassar is invitin’ you to her boardin’ house to meet the new sheriff and to help him solve the crime. She’s providin’ a mess of good vittles and she’s got some clues to help get you started. You’re welcome to bring along your posse - our tables will handle up to 8 folks. No need to git all gussied up in your Sunday finest, either. You can come dressed in your favorite western gear, if you like.
Just give us a holler if you kin see your way clear to help us wind up this difficulty and send someone on a one-way trip to the hoosegow. You can be one of the characters in the mystery, or just come along and help solve the crime.
Join TLP on Saturday, June 29 for The Sheriff’s a Goner – A Murder Mystery Dinner in The Barn. Help us try to figure out who killed the Sheriff. Enjoy a menu of smoked brisket, BBQ ribs, cowboy beans and homemade potato salad. We’ll top it off with apple crisp and ice cream for dessert along with coffee, tea and milk and breads from our bakery. Come in western attire, play a character in our mystery or just come as you are and play along. The cost for dinner and the game is $35. If you want to be one of the character in the mystery, let us know when you get your ticket.
