Opening on March 8 and continuing through April 23 will be an exhibit by fourth generation Clinton native Sarah Bassler Brisch.
A reception will be held on Sunday, March 26, from 1:30 to 4:00 PM and is open to the public.
This exhibit displays a variety of original oil paintings, including her recently designed sculptured oils on dimensional canvases. The exhibit will reveal her range of realistic and abstract oil paintings from American landscapes and mountains, Venice scenes and gondolas, a variety of flowers, and a series of American Eagles.
Brisch attended St. Mary's College at Notre Dame University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and became a registered nurse. It was during college that she realized her artistic talents and became a self-made entrepreneur by creating and selling original personalized greeting cards to help pay her college expenses. .After college, marriage, and five children, her latent artistic talents re-emerged once again as she set forth to become a self-taught artist. While her main medium is oil, she also uses watercolor and acrylic.
Her exhibitions include locations such as hospitals, stores, and restaurants in Clinton and the Quad-Cities.
