Felix Adler Children’s Discovery Center
501 11th Ave. So., Clinton.  Experience the Wonder of Our World!  The Children's Discovery Center honors the memory of Clinton Native Frank Adler (“Funny Felix, King of Clowns”), who was a clown with Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey circus for almost 50 years.  Best known for his acts with trained pigs, he also performed for three presidents and was known as the White House Clown.  The Center combines interactive displays with hands-on experiences to promote exploring, discovery and learning about our world. There are 9 holes of Mini Golf in our play yard that have been added, plus a life-size Brio engine that the children can climb on and be an engineer.  Our Hometown Hospital, sponsored by Mercy Medical Center includes a baby doll nursery, receiving desk and child-size garb for the children to dress up in.  Our “Kapla Blocks” are a big attraction for every age - “Where Art Meets Science!”  Come see what you can build.  Patrons are awed as they step into the exhibit and realize that all of the structures they see can be built by simply stacking blocks.  Visitors observe existing Kapla structures to get some ideas of what they might want to build.  Kapla Blocks and Brio small train and track are also sold in our Gift Shop.  Memberships for family, grandparents and individuals are available, and also the ACM Reciprocal membership.  Museum hours are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and most Sundays from 1-4 p.m.  The facility is available by appointment for field trips, special tours and birthday parties.  For additional information, contact Theo Smith at (563) 243-3600. www.felixadler.com
