CVB Committees & Task Forces
Convention and Visitors Bureau

Within this division, five committees and one task force have been established in a continued effort to promote the Clinton area locally, regionally and nationally, with increasing emphasis on developing additional attractions for the area.
Special Activites Committee
Chair: Marsha Smith
The purpose of this committee is to oversee special one-time tourism-related events.
Local Awareness Committee
Co-Chairs: Paula Mayer, Citizens First Bank and Mary Swanson, Howes & Jefferies
The purpose of this committee is to continue to educate the Clinton area about the benefits and objectives of the tourism industry and to create an awareness of all tourism activities in Clinton.
Conventions & Meetings Committee
Chair: Sue Raaymakers, River City Dairy Queen
The purpose of this committee is to develop and implement an action plan to attract small-to-mid-sized conventions, meetings and conferences to the Clinton area.
Leisure Travel Committee
Co-Chairs: Stephanie Reuter, Best Western Frontier and Julie Hansen, Savanna-Thomson State Bank
The purpose of this Committee is to create packages that will increase the number of individual visitors and group tours to the Clinton area.
Sporting Tournaments/Events Committee
Chair: Norlan Hinke, Clinton National Bank
The purpose of this committee is to increase and support sports venues that bring overnight visitors to Clinton.
Legislative Task Force
Chair: Paula Mayer, Citizens First Bank
The purpose of the Legislative Task Force is to respond to Legislative issues (during session) that promote and fund the Tourism industry in Iowa and in Clinton.
